Yves Jacques-MCM 32 Brut Champagne
Yves Jacques-MCM 32 Brut Champagne
The Wine
In terms of style, Yves-Jacques' wines are crowd pleasing champagnes featuring bright fruit. These are bold, huggable wines with fine but persistent effervescence that, when well chilled, perform well across multiple days after the cork is pulled. It's been said that Cuvee MCM32 is reminiscent of "Yellow label Veuve Cliquot...if it was handmade and actually delicious".
The Winery
Domaine Yves-Jacques has been farming grapes for a century in Baye, in the heart of the Coteaux du Petit Morin, an extension of the Côte des Blancs just west of Vertus.
Over the past 9 decades, the estate has expanded to reach 40+ acres in the Côte des Blancs, the Marne Valley, and also a few micro parcels in Grand Crus Aÿ and Chouilly - and even one small parcel of 100 y/o vines in the Aube!
Vineyards are planted in roughly equal percentages of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Certified VDC and HVE and currently in conversion to organics.
