Tasi 2021 Garganega
Tasi 2021 Garganega
The Wine
100% Garganega (gar gah NAY gah), the grape used in the wines of Soave, a grape that leads to wines that are tart and refreshing with satisfying notes of white flowers and citrus fruits - a nice balance between body and elegance.
I'm not going into any more detail, as it would be antithetical to Tasi's brand, which (along with the shushing person on the label) invites people to "shut up and drink" (loosely translated from the Veneto dialect!)
12.5% ABV
The Winery
Following biodynamic principles, Tasi works to integrate the natural environment that surrounds their vineyards. They promote biodiversity, keeping vast areas of woods around their vineyards, raising animals and integrating other crops. They build the natural balance and fertility of their soil through a series of techniques like biodynamic compost, sovescio and the use of microorganisms.
Vines growing in these a healthier soils develop a more robust root system to better absorb the mineral salts present in the soil. Microelements and herbal teas help enhance their vines' natural resistance to pathogens.
All this work is focused on the final goal of growing grapes that are healthier and richer and can best represent their terroir.
