Muller 2023 Zweigelt Rose
Muller 2023 Zweigelt Rose
Origin and Terroir
The grapes for this Rosé come from vineyards around the ‘Göttweiger Berg‘ in the southern Kremstal wine region (see map).
Soils are mainly gravel covered by a massive layer of loess (wind-blown sand). The warm Pannonian climate from the east is creating a micro-climate unique to the Danube valley. The combination of the well-suited soil along with the unique climate of the Danube valley supports the perfect ripening of the grapes.
Vinification
The grapes were destemmed in preparation for a classic mash fermentation, but first were macerated for 8 hours before pressing. Then the fermentation was completed in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks before being cleared and bottled.
Tasting notes
Bright rosy; fruity strawberry aroma in the nose; gentle berry notes on the palate; light and harmonic. Very refreshing.
