The Wine
Aromas of red fruits (pomegranate, raspberry, cherry) and black plum, dried herbs and loads of oaky vanilla and spice. Some hints of fresh Bell pepper. This is a unique blend, mostly cab with just a dollop (5%) of Pinot Noir (!) to bring some elegance to the power of Napa's cab. A soft wine for a Napa Cab, ready for near-term enjoyment. A great compliment to a broad array of roasted and grilled meats and fowl.
Just 500 cases produced. Alc. 14.5%. Drink now through 2027.

The Winery
Mario left his home in Jalisco, Mexico when he was in his teens. His intent was to work the harvest in California and send money back home, as was common back then. But Mario never returned home (except to visit) and now runs one of Napa's most well-respected vineyard management companies, having worked his way up the ladder at some of Napa's premier wineries and vineyards. In addition to managing vineyards, he and his family make a microscopic amount of hand-crafted wines like these.
